We are looking for an energetic and professional Patient Service Representative to join our team. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities include
- Demonstrated work experience in medical setting and preferably in a community clinic setting.
- Oral and written communication skills to receive and convey information clearly and concisely.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people of various social and economic status.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and complete confidentiality.
- Ability to count money and make change accurately.
- Working knowledge of personal computers.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and organize workload to optimize efficiency and meet productivity goals.
- Ability to verify insurance coverage using manual or electronic systems.
- Ability to work some evenings or weekends.
- Ability to work with volunteers.
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record System preferred; Basic computer skills
- Must be attentive to detail, cooperative, punctual, dependable, and be receptive to new ideas
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare and health plans preferred
- Strong customer service focus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to manage competing priorities
- Resourcefulness in problem solving and good judgment
- Be flexible and organized
- Able to take and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Possess mode of transportation to travel independently between work-related locations
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Prolonged periods of typing and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
Pay: $21.00 - $21.50 per hour
