What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Analyst position at Parkview Health?
Summary
Provides technical support to the Signature Care PPO network, Signature Care Self Funded Account and the various other products offered by Signature Care. Is responsible for re-pricing and payment of claims by administering the Summary Plan Document for each plan. This position requires an extreme level of confidentiality and is responsible for assuring accuracy of information and communication to all clients as deemed necessary. Accuracy and quality are expected on all lines of business processed.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Some college preferred. Must have taken a course in Medical Terminology.
Experience
Two to three years experience in processing PPO, HMO, Group Major Medical, or Indemnity Claims. Prior claims processing experience on automated systems. Demonstrates experience in establishing priorities and working independently with time and production standards.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to keyboard 35 words per minute. Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
