What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Engineering Services Summer Non-Clinical Intern position at Parkview Health?
Facilities Engineering Services internship will work closely with the Corporate Facilities Team to improve efficiencies in the environment of care to improve overall outcomes on the patient experience. Various projects will be assigned to this internship to develop or improve standards for construction, grounds maintenance, and plant operation. This will be an opportunity to become familiar with building operations in a healthcare setting.
Facilities Engineering Services internship will expand SMS implementation process to include filters and belts for the system. This internship project will include collecting product numbers, developing par levels, and building inventory in the CMMS database. The intern will work with SCORe Department and the vendor Vizient. The specific skillsets that we would like your intern to possess would be ability to complete task assigned with minimal supervision. A understanding of Microsoft Excel and Excel and document formatting would be ideal.
The areas of study that would best fit this internship is Business, Administration, Engineering and/or Technology. The working hours of this internship are Monday through Friday. This will be a 40 hours per week internship position. Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department.
