What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician - Licensed Plumber position at Parkview Health?
Summary: Performs skilled duties primarily as a Licensed Plumber in accordance with the standard practices of the plumbing trade and the Indiana Plumbing Code on all equipment, systems, and fixtures throughout the hospital and affiliated buildings. Participates in projects assigned to the department. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on various hospital equipment and systems. Participates in the hospital’s energy savings initiatives by equipment and system upgrades and/or replacement. Troubleshoots problems with hospital equipment involving plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC issues, as necessary.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Two-years technical training from a vocational or technical school, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Valid state driver’s license is required. Requires a recognized plumbing license.
Experience: Four-years combined experience as a maintenance tech and/or a Licensed Plumber.
