What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leader Community Health Improv position at Parkview Health?
Functions as a leader of community health improvement efforts for community hospitals. Serves as a liaison between community organizations/partners, hospital management, and the Board. Carries out Parkview’s mission to improve the health in our communities in a fashion that creates synergy in order to accomplish our community health improvement goals and to build a community environment of overall good health and well-being. Responsible for a comprehensive assortment of community benefit duties as defined by the appropriate professional hospital associations, government requirements, hospital management, and hospital board members. Responsible for the Volunteer Program and the Gift Shop. |
Associate's degree in Public Health or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. |
Certification in Health Education Specialty (CHES) preferred. |
Three to five years’ experience in Health Promotion, Wellness, Health Education or Wellness program leadership. |
Must have a passion for helping others to change behaviors necessary to improve their overall well-being. Must be familiar with at- risk populations and behaviors. |
