What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Med Tech - Flex Team position at Parkview Health?
Summary
Operates gamma cameras to perform standard dynamic, static and tomographic procedures, to provide excellence diagnostic images for interpretation. Is responsible for preparing, calibrating and calculating radiopharmaceuticals, while maintaining sterility and integrity of the prepared radiopharmaceutical compound. Treats patients, families and health care team members with respect and courtesy, anticipating the needs of customers. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. Operates within the "Code of Ethics" and the "Clinical Performance Standards" established by the Society of Nuclear Medicine. Is knowledgeable of all NRC requirements for receiving, shipping, disposal, surveys, swipe testing, and radioactive contamination.
Education
Satisfactory completion of formal nuclear medicine program, or radiologic technology with additional nuclear training.
Licensure
Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R), ARRT (N), or CNMT. Licensed with the State Board of Health for Nuclear for the State where services will be provided. CPR Certification
Experience
Previous experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role.
