Qualifications:

Must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent.

Completion of a medical assistant program meeting certification eligibility requirements is required.

Must hold one of the following certifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)

CPR certification is required.

Experience as a medical assistant or in a physician's office is required; sports medicine experience is preferred.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives is preferred.

Familiarity with computers is essential, with electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
