Dietary Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living or nursing home environment. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals while adhering to dietary guidelines. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Support the cook in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients.
• Deliver meals to residents, ensuring that their individual dietary needs are met.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor residents' dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Participate in training sessions related to food handling, safety, and culinary skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the kitchen or food industry is preferred, particularly in assisted living or nursing home settings.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• A passion for cooking and an understanding of dietary needs related to health conditions is beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
