Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with office protocols and regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records using dental systems, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Implement infection control measures and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Stay informed about orthodontic procedures and anatomy knowledge to provide comprehensive support.
Skills
- Proficient in documentation and understanding of dental terminology.
- Experience in dental assisting with a focus on orthodontics preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with dental systems such as WaveOrtho is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of anatomy related to orthodontics is beneficial.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not required.
