What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician Supervisor position at Parkview North Hospital?
Summary : Assumes the responsibilities of maintenance of the hospital and / or all other Parkview Health owned, off-site buildings. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations in addition to enforcing policies and procedures mandated by Parkview Health and regulatory and accrediting agencies, including but not limited to : TJC, OSHA, etc. Directly supervises all assigned staff that may include : electricians, carpenters / locksmiths, HVAC technicians, plumbers, plant operators, welders, life safety specialists, and technicians. Takes over responsibilities of the Facilities Manager in his / her absence. Accountable for monthly metrics along with increasing efficiencies, driving a culture of safety, and reducing costs.
Education : Must be a high school graduate or equivalent GED. Two year college degree in a mechanical field, preferred.
Experience : Must have minimum 2 years supervisory experience in the area of maintenance / plant operation, or the equivalent of 4 years experience in an equivalent field. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
