What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server System Administrator position at Parkview North Hospital?
Summary : The Server System Administrator with some supervision assumes responsibility and accountability for acquiring, configuring and maintaining the following : development, test and production servers (or server infrastructure). Provides support for the server infrastructure including after-hours support to ensure maximum performance and availability to our clients. Provides Tier 3 support for Information Services while, consistently providing excellent service to all customers. As well as general administration of Enterprise Wide : Remote access (including Citrix), Microsoft Windows and VMware Operating Systems, Active Directory, messaging, and Epic client systems.
Education : Minimum requirement of an Associate's degree in Computer Science or other related field; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through 4 years additional experience in a comparable job.
Licensure / Certification : Industry-recognized applicable certification at time of hire or must obtain within 12 months after hire.
Experience : 3 years experience in a comparable job.
- Experience managing Citrix environments (e.g., Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
- Proficiency with VMware for virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and GPO management.
- Familiarity with server hardware, including HPE, Dell, and Cisco UCS systems.
- Familiarity with SQL Server database maintenance and performance tuning.
- Experience administering Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint).
