Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or other science specialty such as Biology, Chemistry, etc.
• National certification/registration as CT, MLS/CLS/MT via ASCP, AMT, NCA or HEW.
• Will consider board eligible graduate from a NAACLS-approved CLS or MT program.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
