Job Details
General job duties include procedures such as EPIC charting, Bubble CPAP, HFJV, HFOV, Conventional Ventilation, deliveries, surfactant delivery, intubations, adult aerosol treatments, PEP, Vibratory PEP, I.S., BIPAP-CPAP, CPT, cough assist, and trach care.
Equipment utilized includes EPIC and all general equipment associated with respiratory care for treatment modalities.
Minimum 3 years previous experience required.
Specific licensures and certifications required include NRP, BLS thru AHA, and RRT.
If helping with external transports, RRT-NPS, STABLE, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS thru AHA are required.
Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years previous experience required.
NRP, BLS thru AHA, and RRT are required certifications.
Minimum 2 years previous NICU and PEDS specific experience required.
Schedule Information
12 hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend.
Employee will be on own when an external transport is called (average time 3.8 hours).
No call required.
Unit Specific Information
Week 1 hospital orientation, aggression management class, EMR training, 8 hours scheduled in NICU, Week 2 2-12 hour shifts in NICU for orientation then on own.
Additional Details
BLS thru AHA required.
RRT required.
NRP must be completed if traveler remains at facility for longer than 5 months.
