What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tradesman position at Parkway Construction?
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of maintenance person tasks in the restoration industry, including but not limited to:
- Door hanging and repair
- Tile laying and grouting
- Fixture installation (e.g., lights, faucets)
- Assembling furniture and other items
- Basic electrical work (e.g., replacing outlets, switches)
- Follow schematics and blueprints to complete projects accurately and efficiently
Experience:
- Proven experience in a maintenance person role, preferably in the restoration industry
- Proficiency in various maintenance person skills such as door hanging, masonry, tile laying, fixture installation, and basic electrical work
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Additional experience or certifications in areas such as CNC machining or specialized electrical work would be considered an asset.
