The Specialty Pharmacy / IVIG Sales Representative is responsible for generating chronic infusion patient referrals within Northern New Jersey. This role involves coordinating with various departments such as pharmacy, intake, nursing, and operations to execute sales strategies aimed at achieving business growth. The position requires strong relationship-building kills with healthcare professionals and a focus on customer service to support sales development .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- As an industry expert to convey Parkway Pharmacy, LP (PPLP) mission of normalizing a compromised immune system through the use of IVIG products and servicves.
- Identify and develop long lasting relationships with IVIG medical practices, physician and staff to acquire new referrals and expand existing referrals in the IVIG arena.
- Develop and successfully implement a territory sales plan to meet patient needs, obtain defined sales goals and increase PPLP's market share.
- Build strong relationships with cross functional partners internally at PPLP.
- Leverage relationships with local business and manufacturer counterparts to organically grow advocates with the territory.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improve sales performance.
- Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain local an reasonable call to action in order to close on every sales.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements between PPLP and clients.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, accounts, disease state product and share this market intelligence information with in-field sales managers to achieve alignment to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of an associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Two (2) years of IVIG sales experience.
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools, possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience is establishing strong relationships with key provider decision makers in defined territory is preferred.
- Working knowledge of IVIG therapies and how they interact with given disease states.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Operates with a high level of integrity and builds trust quickly and genuinely.
- Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
