SCHOOL-AGE CARE LEAD SUPERVISOR
Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed is a partnership between the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts that provides high quality programs to enhance the quality of life for residents in the areas of adult education & literacy, aquatics, art, enrichment, outdoor education, school-age care and visual and performing arts.
We are currently looking for a dynamic Lead Supervisor to provide leadership and direction to our Adventure Club school-age care program.
Adventure Club School-Age Care program highlights include:
- Programs offered throughout the year, including before/after school care, non-school day care and summer programs.
- Before/after care program during the school year involves 2,000 students located in 37 elementary schools across Parkway and Rockwood
Responsibility highlights include:
- Provide leadership for school-age care program, which can include setting quality control standards and directing and evaluating staff to ensure programming needs are being met and in alignment with defined objectives and expectations.
- Responsible for management and oversight of assigned budget to ensure program is financially sound. This includes working with staff on setting revenue goals, monitoring.
- Lead and direct team on staffing needs for programs, including hiring, training and retention.
The ideal candidate will exhibit the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in child and youth development programs; previous experience leading a child care program preferred.
- Previous experience supervising employees.
- Ability to think strategically, take initiative and administer effective leadership in developing and implementing a quality program for patrons.
- Work in a cross-functional, team-based environment and collaborate with others in setting goals and problem solving.
- Strong writing, analytical, communications and organizational skills
The position is located at the Community Ed office in Ellisville, MO. This is a full-time position with starting salary range of $80,000/year and includes the following:
