Position Summary
As Assistant Project Manager you have broad responsibilities for the overall success of the account assigned to you and the growth of the Company.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with 40 hours per week expected. Schedule is consistent on a weekly basis but is subject to change based on business needs.
About the Role:
Parkwell Parking Management is looking for a strong-willed, highly organized Assistant
Project Manager to oversee daily parking operations at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water
Park. This individual will play a key leadership role in managing parking logistics, handling
escalated customer interactions, and ensuring smooth parking operations during high-traffic
periods.
This role requires resilience, excellent communication skills, and a professional yet firm
approach to guest service. The Assistant Project Manager will be the go-to person for resolving
operational challenges, assisting staff, and representing Parkwell in high-pressure customer
interactions. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a strong asset for this position.
This position requires the ability to work on the weekend.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
1. Parking Operations & Logistics:
Oversee daily parking operations to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Manage traffic flow and parking lot occupancy to maximize efficiency.
Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and overflow parking procedures.
Ensure ADA compliance and VIP parking areas are properly maintained.
Work closely with theme park security and operations teams to coordinate lot usage
during events, peak seasons, and emergencies.
2. Leadership & Staff Management:
Supervise and support parking attendants, cashiers, and audit team.
Provide on-the-spot coaching and training for new and existing team members.
Assist in staff scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
Maintain a motivated and professional team that delivers high-level guest service.
3. Customer Service &Conflict Resolution:
Act as the primary point of escalation for guests concerns regarding parking.
Handle difficult customer interactions with professionalism and authority while
maintaining respect.
Represent Parkwell in all guest service matters related to parking.
Collaborate with theme park management to address and resolve guest complaints
effectively.
4. Financial & Operational Oversight:
Assist with revenue control, and daily financial reports.
Monitor parking revenue trends and identify areas for operational improvement.
Track and maintain inventory of parking equipment, such as kiosks, signage, and
traffic cones.
Conduct regular audits of parking operations to ensure compliance with financial and
operational policies.
5. Emergency & Event Management:
Develop and execute contingency plans for high-traffic days, special events, overflow
parking and emergencies (e.g., severe weather, mechanical failures, accidents).
Coordinate with emergency response teams, law enforcement, and tow companies
when necessary.
Ensure staff is trained on emergency procedures and crowd management.
