Overview
The Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds standards and policies. The Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in hiring/developing staff, managing day-to-day operations, establishing a productive and efficient work atmosphere, and meeting financial/operational targets. To be successful in this role, the manager should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping other people develop and be productive, while ensuring shop profitability. The manager should be a team player, have a flexible schedule that supports the business’s needs and act as a stand in when the GM is not present. The manager should be accountable for their responsibilities assigned by the GM but also take the initiative to drive business and strive to improve the shop operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Cultivate Parlor’s mission and values.
2. Oversee and coordinate front of house and back of house day-to-day operations. Ensure excellence, cleanliness, and quality.
3. Act as an extension of the GM, ownership and Parlor corporate by upholding brand guidelines and ensuring team members are meeting expectations
4. Assist GM when asked in promotions, marketing, social media, external events, collaborations, community involvement, etc.
5. Assist in interviewing and selection of new staff as well as training/development in accord with Parlor standards
6. Supervise shift leads and team members in daily operations.
7. Safeguard assets, ensure cash registers are appropriately balanced, lost prevention policies are upheld and employees are following Parlor standards on proper money handling.
8. Work to reduce expenses and waste, enhance team productivity, and maximize profitability in coordination with GM and ownership.
9. Clock in at least 40 hours a week, primarily in shop and focused on areas as designated by GM.
10. Ensure staff follows all policies/procedures as well as health & safety regulations.
11. Provide solutions to issues and seek opportunities for improvement.
12. Order/purchase supplies needed from approved vendors.
13. Lead by example and foster an inclusive “team” working environment.
14. Maintain and manage high moral character within the work place. Resolve conflicts and respond to team member & customers concerns professionally and within a timely manner.
15. Provide praise and feedback to team members who exhibit exceptional performance. Provide coaching to team members who are lacking in skills and performance expectations.

Education and Experience
1. Practical experience in various food service positions. 2. Must obtain/maintain ServSafe® Manager or State certification. 3. Knowledge, training, and certifications in kitchen emergencies is a plus (First Aid, CPR, Fires). 4. Customer service experience. 5. Management experience.
