Parlor Doughnuts Assistant Shop Manager
Reports To: Shop Manager
The Assistant Shop Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds standards and policies. The Assistant Manager is responsible for directly assisting the store manager in day to day in store operations, and upholding a productive and efficient work environment. To be successful in this role, the Assistant Manager should be a thoughtful leader, knowledgeable in all departments, and confident in their ability to maintain standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Uphold Parlor’s mission and values
- Must be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours a week in store at various times and departments.
- Assist in day-to-day operations and ensure excellence, cleanliness, and quality.
- Assist in day to day expectations set by Parlor and ownership. Including but not limited to; quality control, cleanliness, customer service, product knowledge, employee training, etc.
- Sit in interviews, employee meetings, addressing employee misconduct, and offer suggestions when asked by the Store Manager.
- Assistant Manager is encouraged to ask follow up questions, ask for elaboration, etc. to get a better understanding of potential employees.
- Assist with disciplinary actions and ensure the strike sheet is up to date.
- Assist in regular communication to staff.
- Safeguard assets and access to lock combinations related to POS, cash safe, lock box, etc.
- Have an extensive knowledge of every department within the shop, and as:
- KNOWLEDGE of all areas of the shop
- Uploading items to XtraChef
- Ordering and inventory numbers
- Vendor contacts
- Assist in ensuring that the staff follows all policies/procedures as well as health & safety regulations.
- Assist the Store Manager in finding solutions to issues and seek opportunities for improvement.

- Following up with SM to reach out to vendors reps if the orders are not fulfilled, and ensure credits are received.

- Troubleshooting Toast, 3PD, etc issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
