Position: Senior Data engineer
Duration: 6 months
Locations - Chicago, IL OR Southlake, TX OR Lone Tree, CO
This is an individual contributor role.
What you ll do:
- Build solutions using C#, Python, R, and SQL to move, validate, and transform large datasets
- Create automated processes that ensure adherence to data governance standards
- Contribute to an Agile software team to deliver results iteratively
- Present approaches and findings to internal management and stakeholders
- Work with CRM, technology, and other business partners to achieve objectives
- Create model implementation documents for internal and external verification, review, and audit
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree
- 5 years of professional work experience as a data engineer or 3 years of experience with a postgraduate degree relating to large data sets (computer science, finance, economics, math, physical sciences, etc.)
- Professional experience with SQL tables, views, and query optimization
- Professional experience with at least one of these programming languages: C#, Python, R, SQL
- Data analysis experience with relational database and data warehouse systems, in a professional setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to generate high-quality procedural documentation
- Experience working with minimal oversight to create solutions to unexpected problems and a professional demeanor suitable for a corporate workplace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Cloud and BigQuery
- Experience with data and methods related to Anti-Money Laundering
- Familiarity with unit testing, package development, GitHub, and Atlassian products
