What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Parnall and Adams Law?
Our law firm is looking for the awesome paralegal who has empathy, understanding, and works extremely well with others. Helping people through traumatic incidences is a difficult feat. Having a passion for helping others is essential in being successful in this position. A paralegal should drive the attorney, push cases, and prepare documents when tasked.
- Drafting legal documents such as complaint, summons, motions, briefs, or subpoenas
- Conducting research on relevant laws and case law to support the arguments made in court
- Preparing case files for trial by collecting evidence such as documents, recordings, photographs, and other materials that support claims made in a lawsuit
- Reviewing contracts and other legal documents to ensure they comply with legal guidelines and standards
- Communicating with clients about their cases, including scheduling meetings to discuss case progress and updating clients about relevant developments in their cases
- Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other court filings
- Conducting interviews with witnesses and experts to gather information relevant to case proceedings
- Assisting attorneys with discovery proceedings such as locating witnesses and organizing evidence
- Reviewing discovery materials received from opposing parties or counsel in order to identify any issues with the evidence provided
