Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests on various electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with precision measuring instruments, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.

Duties:

  • Reads wiring diagrams and schematics to determine testing/trouble shooting procedure and equipment to be used
  • Tests/troubleshoots functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts
  • Perform quality control tests on electronic components and PCB assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in product quality.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters for accurate measurements.
  • Connects unit to be tested to test equipment such as a multi-meter
  • Compares results with specifications, test data or plots test results on graph
  • Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure
  • Replaces defective wiring and components, performs required alignments and calibrations of equipment in order to return it to normal operation
  • Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing and troubleshooting procedures and results and to resolve problems
  • Devises test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer returned units.
  • Calibrates pressure and/or seismic sensors for clients safely, timely and accurately.

  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and ohmmeters.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Language Ability: Ability to read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
