Roles & Responsibilities
The Park Services Lead is responsible for the upkeep of all facilities including the restrooms, buildings, and midways. Leads assist with daily placement, break rotations, inventory, incentives and documentation. Leads will also be responsible for the same tasks as a team member.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Becomes knowledgeable of and able to perform all duties of Park Services team members
- Follows the daily cleaning/nightly cleaning protocol set forth by the Park Services Supervisor
- Oversees the Park Services team members and make sure they are following policies issued by the Park Services Supervisor and Operations Manager
- Ensure all employees are given breaks in a timely manner as well as adhering to Connecticut Labor Laws
- Assist with scheduling for Park Services team members
- Assist with timekeeping for hourly team members
- Ensures trash receptacles are clean and free of spills visually and are emptied on a regular basis
- Stocks and sanitizes restrooms
- Ensures all eating areas are clean
- Ensures benches and flowerbeds are clean and free of debris
- Responds to clean-up calls including fecal, vomit, and food spills
- Roam entire assigned area(s) assisting guests and employees
- Resolve customer concerns, including lost children
- Ensure employees have necessary supplies to perform duties
- Audit bathroom and overall park cleanliness
- Perform whatever duties are necessary to ensure park cleanliness
- Continuously monitors parks for safety hazards (e.g. wet floors, tripping hazards, etc.)
- Maintains records of all work completed and safety inspections
- Maintains high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities
- Ensures ADA standards are met in each location
- Assists other departments to ensure a cohesive operation
- Perform any additional duties asked by park leadership
Education And Experience
High School education preferred; Equivalent work experience will be considered
1 year of previous Park Service, grounds, or housekeeping work experience desired
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must have flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must work well with other team members and be able to interact with our guests in a fast-paced environment
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with all park guidelines
- Must comply with all uniform policies
- Ability to demonstrate proper use and maintenance of equipment (brooms, chemicals, etc.)
- Ability to demonstrate excellent guest service and customer focus
- Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
- Requires standing for long periods and the ability to walk long distances within the park
- Ability to kneel, stoop, or twist for extended periods of time
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures and weather elements, including high heat, humidity, direct sunlight and cold temperatures
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, squatting and reaching above shoulders
- Ability to notice details that are within walking distance
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat, cold, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions
