Pay : Starting at $22 - $26 an hour, depending on experience.
Schedule : Monday-Friday starting at 7am to 4pm
Location : Damascus, Oregon
The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling deliveries and credit returns efficiently. This position works with sales, yard personnel, and customers to make this happen. Examples include communicating with sales about their delivery needs, providing yard personnel with delivery invoices, and assisting drivers with challenges that appear on their routes. The dispatcher's efforts to coordinate between sales and yard personnel helps support our mission of Legendary Service through Teamwork.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- OSHA Certified Forklift License
- 1 year dispatching experience
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 30 WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Class C driver's license or reliable alternative transportation required
- Knowledge of dispatching and fleet management principles, practices and protocols
- Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials
- Knowledge of home and commercial construction principles, practices and protocols
- Ability to read and interpret maps
