We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to work as a member of the Product Engineering Team to develop software-based product solutions.
Software Test Engineer Responsibilities :
- Reviewing software requirements, design specifications, and / or concept sketches to establish baseline understanding of the development effort.
- Meeting with development managers to discuss software specifications and controls.
- Using the software as customers would to analyze its functional properties.
- Designing / Updating manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product.
- Running test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly.
- Tweaking the software testing systems for maximum performance.
- Finalizing and documenting testing procedures, all technical issues discovered, along with any recommended solutions.
- Completing final tests and creating test reports in a timely manner to meet desired release deadlines.
- Presenting test reports to management and suggesting software fixes where appropriate.
- Support co-worker development efforts, and solicit assistance, when necessary or appropriate.
- Execute tasking in accordance with quality management system (QMS) processes and procedures; providing recommendations for continuous improvement as the opportunity arises.
- Participate in relevant company and industry events.

Toolsets : MATLAB, Microsoft 365, Subversion, Visual Studio, NUnit.

Job Type : Full-Time / Regular
Years of Experience : 7 Years, minimum
Minimum Level of Education : 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, or software engineering; or equivalent information technology training in a military or civilian technical school. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimal Travel Required
Salary Range : $80K - $110K
Security Clearance : Security Clearance level not required immediately but must be able to qualify and obtain when necessary.
