Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in immigration, criminal, and appellate law. Specifically, this attorney would work in the specialized world of "crimmigration," the immigraton consequences of criminal activity. This role requires a proactive approach to legal research, client interaction, and case management within a collaborative law office environment. The Associate Attorney will play a critical role in supporting senior attorneys and ensuring the highest quality of legal services for our clients.
An ideal candidate would be fluent in Spanish.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on diverse legal issues using resources such as Westlaw.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding immigration, criminal, appellate, and post-conviction relief matters.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to develop effective strategies for case management.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations that may impact client cases.
