General Description:
Under the supervision of the Revenue Integrity Manager, the Clinical Systems Analyst will assist the Revenue Integrity Manager to develop and maintain charge reconciliation processes that ensure revenue capture and billing within regulatory and compliance guidelines. This position will work with the revenue generating departments to create and maintain policies/procedures to ensure accurate charge capture, maintenance of department dictionaries, and CDM compliance. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development of charge reconciliation policies and processes for the revenue generating departments and updates policies on an ongoing basis as indicated by changes that are identified during quarterly audits. Coordinates with the Revenue Integrity Manager and the Director of Revenue Cycle issues that are discovered during the quarterly audits and the annual CDM review.
- Responsible for maintaining charge reconciliation statistical reports and data that are related to the daily charge reconciliation processes and requests for charge edits. Assists in maintaining department dictionaries in compliance with the CDM for accurate charging mechanisms.
- Creates charge reconciliation reports related to quarterly audits to provide statistics/data for performance, quality improvement within the revenue generating departments. Under the direction of the Revenue Integrity Manager follows up with appropriate departments to identify variances in their charge reconciliation processes.
- Assist Revenue Integrity Manager with required maintenance of the CDM workflow including additions, deletions, and edits of procedure code requests in accordance with compliance of CDM policies and procedures.
- Assist Revenue Integrity Manager in the maintenance and usage of Revenue Cycle Tools and Software.
- Ensures strategic goals and objectives are met or exceeded by assisting Revenue Integrity Manager in utilizing proper resources, metrics, and talent to effectively achieve Game Plan goals and to extend the reach of our mission and vision.
- Actively participates in effective employee engagement initiatives including departmental meetings, rounding, and Huddles.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.
Formal Education:
- Associate's Degree
- 1 year to < 2 years in healthcare setting
