Commercial Tire Technician

The Tire Technician position will be based in a Commercial Truck Tire Service Center, at one of our Parrish Tire Branches. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, interact with moving mechanical parts/equipment on a daily basis, and the noise level at the truck tire service center is usually moderate to high.

The Tire Technician will be responsible for the safe and quality execution of all required tasks in their area.

As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing commercial tire service work on-site at one of our Parrish Tire commercial tire branches
• Mounting and dismounting various sized commercial tires, using T45A Tire Iron/Spoon Bar, and or similar truck tire dismount tools including the Golden Tool.
• Performing commercial tire service work on both diesel and gasoline powered class 5 through 8 trucks and equipment.
• Performing needed crown area tire repairs with plugs and plug/patch combos.
• Properly using balance weights with Hunter wheel balance machine or similar, to balance our customer’s wheels.
• Effectively communicating with Service Manager on job status.
• Ensuring air impact wrench and jack are properly oiled and maintained.
• Following all TIA procedures while servicing customer and PTC equipment.
• Professionally servicing all customers
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, wearing proper PPE for the job (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, work gloves, ear plugs, etc.)
• Demonstrating excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.
• Adhering to all policies, procedures and safety best practices according to TIA standards

To be successful in this role you will meet the following requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable and dependable and display excellent attendance.
• Basic TIA Commercial Tire Service Certification is a plus (In house TIA training will be provided if technician does not possess certification).
• Ability to operate a forklift while loading or unloading freight, forklift certification class provided after employment.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
