What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resid Spv-RC6 position at Parsons Child & Family Center?
This position is responsible for supervising staff who provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing body standards and requirements for adolescent females involved in the juvenile justice system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Program Manager / Assistant Director in creating an energetic, creative, multi-disciplinary team of staff person to work cohesively and therapeutically with the youth and their families on the unit
- Design, implement and supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans
- Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.
- Maintain records as required
- Participate in interviewing and selection of new staff members
- Participate in training of residential staff
- Conduct residential staff meetings
- Understand and apply the general framework and skill building attached to various treatment models used with the youth, including DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ARC as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Follow, review and implement all agency policy and procedures to ensure all regulations are followed by employees.
- Make the unit a family friendly place, where family members feel welcome and activities are planned that include family members. Teach, and then ensure, that staff persons treat family members with respect and listen to their concerns, document them, and pass them on to the appropriate clinician and administrator.
- Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units
- Develop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unit
- Participate in the evaluation of youth referred to the Agency for residential care
- Participate in the appropriate on call system
- Oversee and/or transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs
- Work with clinical staff to coordinate the implementation of treatment plans in the milieu
- Assist in crisis intervention as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises non-exempt employees. Supervises and evaluates the work of individuals; has responsibility for subordinate performance and output. Provides supportive success-focused supervision to direct reports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree required, bachelors degree preferred with 3 years of experience working with vulnerable populations/ adolescents required.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE
Required to maintain TCI certification.
Must have valid drivers license and meet agency insurability standards for using agency vehicles and transporting youth.
