PROJECT :
Parsons is managing a Technical Services (TS) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to provide support for a variety of services, applications, and software development efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
If you are a passionate and creative problem solver who thrives on being customer service-oriented then this an outstanding opportunity for you to leverage your strong technical skills and experience to help our customer succeed. In this role your primary responsibilities will include :
Creating and maintaining new technical solutions
Enhancing existing applications by integrating new technology components and capabilities
Assisting the customer in understanding and evaluating new technologies with respect to their current and future needs
This is NOT a standard System Admin position requiring off-hours support, monthly patching, or other similar tasks. This is a unique opportunity to exercise a great degree of freedom and creativity to architect and prototype new systems providing new capabilities and solutions to a customer that is transitioning to the next phase of their technical roadmap.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer performing administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities
Experience with any of the following technologies and applications :
Linux system administration
AWS-based architecture / design / provisioning
Python
Perl
Cross-domain solutions
RESTful web services
Experience with any of the following a plus :
Java / Javascript
Docker
Kubernetes
Atlassian suite (Jira, etc.)
Excellent oral communication, written communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments a strong plus
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years providing systems-related support in the Software Development or System Engineering fields
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution

Salary Range :
117,000.00 - $210,600.00
