What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSSO- Contractor Special Security Officer position at Parsons Corporation?
Parsons is seeking a talented CSSO- Contractor Special Security Officer to join our growing team!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support multiple federal agencies with varying security standards and procedures, utilizing the NISPOM, ICDs, 5105.21 (M-1), DoDM 5205.07 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community
- Maintain SCIF accreditations to appropriate Cognizant Security Agency (CSA)
- Conduct security education and training
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of security policies and procedures, to include the insider threat program
- Provide security indoctrination's, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary
- Coordinate co-utilization agreements for facilities
- Process SCI nominations, verifying need to know for personnel supporting various efforts
- Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government
- Document and maintain personnel security files and rosters
- Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers
- Act as an advocate for the security program, using sound communication expertise and work with senior level managers to accomplish missions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Responsible for facility access control support, intrusion detection, safes/locks, hardware, and doors
- Maintains SCIF visitor control functions, entry/exit inspections and badging
- Conduct SCIF self-inspections in preparation for security audits
- Prepare written SOPs/EAP and update annually for DoD and IC customers
- Ensure compliance of daily operations with security policies, standards, and measures necessary for meeting 32CFR-117 and the related USG security requirements to ensure the protection of classified information.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Associates degree in security or criminal justice or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Must have experience building a 705 Standard SCIF
- 5 years of relevant security experience
- Active Top Secret government security clearance with SCI eligibility
What Desired Skills You Might Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in security or criminal justice or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Attendance of security course offerings by DoD, or other intelligence community
- Agree to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Classified document and media accountability, conducts annual audits of all media
- Perform Alarm tests with both the service provider and the guard service, documenting all concerns with the government and IC customers
