Parsons is hiring a Solar Data Analyst with a passion for systems and solving mission critical challenges to support our client at the San Vito Solar Observatory in Southern Italy. The observatory is part of the Solar Electro-Optical Network (SEON), a global network of solar observatories maintained and operated by the United States Air Force.
Job responsibilities
- In this role you will operate optical and radio telescopes to collect and analyze solar data while providing real time reporting to our client at the Space Weather Operations Center.
- This role will work a 365 day per year mission with hours fluctuating on a seasonal schedule based on daylight hours.
- Willing to attend classroom training with the United States Air Force as a civilian for the first 5 weeks post hire.
- Selected candidate will relocate to the San Vito Solar Observatory in Southern Italy at the conclusion of training.
