Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring for both a Roadway Engineer I and Roadway Engineer II to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. Your projects could include new roadway designs, interstate widening/expansions, roundabouts, intersection improvements, and roadway or bridge rehabilitations - just to name a few!
This position is based in our Buffalo, New York office but may provide additional hybrid to remote flexibility.

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $127,600.00

Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring for both a Roadway Engineer I and Roadway Engineer II to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform geometric alignments and design for roadway projects, inclusive of freeways, ramps and interchanges, utilizing Microstation Inroads and/or Open Roads software
- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including: defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status
- Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required
- May supervise junior engineers and provide input regarding performance
- May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed
What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 4 years of related work experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred
- NYSDOT experience
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required (Prefer experience with Microstation and InRoads/OpenRoads)
