SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Supervises a team of consumer loan processor that supports all branches in a fast-paced production environment.
To be successful in this role, applicant must be effective in a working supervisor role. Applicant will supervise a team of processors and to timely process all consumer loans with special attention to quality and service that will support the Credit Union’s mission and strategic goals.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Supervises the consumer loan process to ensure loans are processed correctly and timely to ensure an exceptional member experience.
- Supervises the procedures, processes and training for the processing team, to include new hire orientation for the department.
- Supervise and audit document integrity and overall quality control for the loan processing department.
- Review, process and close indirect and branch consumer loans utilizing remote closing capabilities (Docusign) when possible.
- Directly supervise the process flow of the day to day- including but not limited to rush requests, member follow-ups, processing member complaints/issues and intradepartmental communication.
- Recommends and assist VP with implementation of new processes or automation to improve overall efficiency and production.
- Strong attention to detail, providing accurate and timely information, responses and decisions.
- Primary contact to process employee loans to maintain utmost confidentiality.
- Able to clearly communicate with members in oral and written form.
- Strong knowledge of real estate processing. Ability to analyze, research and resolve all real estate duties to include, but not limited to:
- Appraisals, title, flood and hazard insurance.
- Research and resolve all items in the closing package to ensure closing process is on-time and documentation is complete and accurate.
- Fosters a spirit of cooperation and teamwork to ensure the success of the organization. Displays flexibility regarding scheduling.
- Meet or exceed established loan, service and quality goals.
- Adhere to all mortgage & consumer lending regulation and credit union loan and member privacy policies.
- Meet all credit union training requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, which may include occasional Saturdays as business needs demand.
- Credit Reporting/Scoring. Personal finance.
- Critical thinking/analytical skills.
- Ability to focus on more than one task.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and goals.
- Displays self-confidence and self-motivation.
- Uses sound judgment and makes good business decisions.
- Ability to see the ‘big picture’ of member retention and organizational growth.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
Associate’s degree in the business field or equivalent training/work experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the processing of consumer and real estate loans. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
EXPERIENCE
At least two years financial service experience processing consumer and real estate loans preferred. Management experience preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Starting rate - $55,000 annually depending on experience
