POSITION : Outpatient Nurse
STATUS : Full Time; 37.5 hours / week
SCHEDULE : Weekdays, 37.5 hours per week
LOCATION : Monroeville (Penn Center)
Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities :
Responsible to the Outpatient Director for the assessment and treatment of clients with behavioral health challenges. Provides primary nursing care under the direction of Milestones Outpatient Director, Psychiatrist, and CRNP.
- Establishes effective working relationships with clients, families, physicians and pharmacies and all members of the treatment team.
- Completes verbal orders from physicians and CRNP.
- Assumes responsibility for medication prior authorization with insurance companies.
- Monitors lab and test results.
- Provides the injectable medication program including administration, reordering, storing, charting, and assessing client symptoms and side effects.
- Monitors bloodwork for the Clozapine REMS program.
- Assumes responsibilities for maintaining medication samples and storage of PAP medications.
- Provides PDMP reviews for MD and CRNP as required.
- Collaboration in ongoing treatment planning through treatment team meetings and clinical supervision.
- Meets all paperwork / computer work deadlines.
- Participates in program evaluation and data collection.
- Provides coverage for RNs in Penn Center and Wilkinsburg offices as needed.
- Triaging phone calls based on urgency of request.
- Consults with team members as needed
- Assumes responsibility for ordering medical supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
