Our client in Wabasha, MN is looking for an Assembler II candidate for multiple shifts.
The Assembler is responsible for hands-on assembling of electrical and mechanical sub- and final assemblies while following safe work practices. The Assembler understands the manufacturing assembly process, the set up and flow of assembly procedures, recognizes potential problems and helps to resolve them by bringing them to the attention of a PTL or Supervisor in a timely manner, assists in setting up and maintaining production flow, works with minimum supervision, as required. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO requirements. Training Certification GMP . Compliance Wire ISO . Effectively meets quality, quantity and process flow requirements. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding, while performing inspection, sub- and final assemblies including traceability, process inspection, batch verification, drawings, bills of materials and Change Orders. Documents inspections on applicable forms with minimal documentation errors. Participates in team decision making, and develops team problem solving and communication skills. Sets up work stations, tools, equipment and needed documents with assistance. Performs technical soldering on assemblies as applicable. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Trains for higher level jobs as necessary. Assists in special projects and assignments. Works independently, as required. Ensures production area is supplied with materials for daily production, maintains adequate levels of necessary parts and supplies to production areas at all times. Production line knowledge to assist in prevention of defects and production flow. Follows all safety procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of relevant record keeping and traceability for assigned work area. Demonstrates skill in the operation and care of all hand, power tools, production equipment/machinery and inspection equipment as applicable. Participates in team decision-making. Communicates with Supervisor/Production Team Leader concerning equipment/machinery and materials issues. Ensures that production area is clean, neat, and orderly. Inspects tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and used in a safe manner, takes immediate corrective action if necessary. Conducts daily safety inspections, reports hazards, ensures that employees wear and use proper safety equipment. Supports lean initiatives in respective work area by working to sustain lean benefits after a lean event. Clear understanding of 5S, line balancing, communication boards and standard work. Basic Computer Skills. Builds products in automated and manual manufacturing process safely meeting quality and production goals.
· Pay Rate: $10.00/hr – FIRM. Please confirm this pay rate is acceptable.
· Schedule: Second shift, M- F. 3:00PM to 11:00PM. Please confirm that this schedule works for them
· Length of contract: May 2017 – May 2018
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of production policies, processes, procedures, and equipment. Knowledge of quality standards: ISO, GMP, and OSHA Rules and Regulations. Regulatory Training ISO . Ability to read and interpret simple assembly bills of material and drawings. Ability to work in a team environment. Effective manual dexterity and eye hand coordination. Effective verbal and written communication skills. May be required to obtain an equipment operator certification. Ability to perform rework. Ability to operate assembly equipment. Effective organization skills. Effective interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
