NOW HIRING AN ACCOUNT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE :
The Account Service Representative will be responsible for performing routine and intermediate branch and customer service duties such as cross-selling bank products and services, opening, maintaining, and closing all account types, performing periodic Branch administrative duties, and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining superior customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The individual in this position will be trained to become knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of new account, vault, safe deposit, and branch operations. The position is expected to provide leadership, training, and support to other staff members.

- Process daily bank transactions such as:
- Accept and process retail and commercial checking and savings deposits including night deposits by determining that all necessary deposit documents are in proper form and issues receipts.
- Confirm all necessary documents are properly authorized, are in proper form and are within authorized limits.
- Accept and processes all types of loans, credit line, safe deposit, and tax payments; accepts some commercial relationship payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions:
- Provide excellent and effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding basic account information (e.g., account balance, check clearance, loan payoff, etc.). Accepts stop payment and check orders; prints account history if time allows. Prepares and encodes counter checks and deposit slips.
- Balance transactions and verify cash totals:
- Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of currency and coins, balances cash drawer according to established schedule and performance standards.
- Sells excess coin and currency to vault or buys coin and currency to maintain minimum but adequate drawer supply.
- Perform other banking responsibilities such as:
- Provides customers with debit card and loan applications, locking money bags and product information; participates in business development program through aggressive cross-sell efforts to established consumer and commercial customers and referrals of prospective customers.
- May open, replenish, or balance branch's ATM or Cash Express machine according to established schedule. Logs and transmits intercepted debit cards.
- Promotes and cross-sells the Bank's products and services by assisting customers in meeting their needs and referring customers to the appropriate staff as needed.
- Provides support within their assigned Branch as well as other Branches as needed during peak periods of transaction activity, employee absences or staffing emergencies.
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- At least six (6) months of related experience and/or training is required; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in a financial institution managing cash and customer service is preferred.
