Summary for the Chief Deposit Officer:
- Senior executive responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize the bank’s deposit base by overseeing all deposit-related activities, including product development, pricing, marketing and customer relationship management.
- Collaborate with the CEO and COO in determining new markets to enter and once identified works to drive growth and achieve desired results.
- Ensure consistency of operations and optimal customer experience is achieved throughout all branch locations.
- Collaborate with lending counterparts to achieve or exceed deposit and sales goals of the organization.

Job Requirements for the Chief Deposit Officer:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Ten or more years’ management experience in a banking environment.
- Ten or more years’ management experience in a banking environment
- Related job experience to include business development, sales management and administration/branch management.
- Excellent sales and business development skills.
- Proven track record of achieving growth goals.
- Strong leadership and human resources skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
- Extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee development and public relations.
- A self-starter willing to take initiative, establish goals and coach branch staff toward exceeding established goals.
Specific Job Functions for the Chief Deposit Officer:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to attract new deposits and retain existing customers across all channels (retail, commercial and digital).
- Manage, develop and direct staff. This includes all branch activities including Lending, Customer Service and Teller Operations.
- Design and launch new deposit products and services to meet evolving market needs and customer preferences.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to set competitive interest rates for deposit accounts while maintaining profitability (margin).
- Lead marketing campaigns to promote deposit products and convince customers of their benefits.
- Monitor key performance metrics like account growth, cost of funds, net interest margin and deposit growth to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong community involvement to promote bank products i.e.: Rotary, Kiwanis or other Civic Groups.
- Exhibit excellent customer relations skills, especially with key customers, in order to enhance deposit relationships, create customer loyalty and cross-selling bank deposit products to ensure that Bank deposit goals are met.
- Participate in and encourages lending activities directly.
- Direct Bank personnel in activities to ensure employees deliver excellent customer service by adhering to our Customer Care Commitments.
- Establish priorities and efficiently allocate and manage time and resources.
- Conduct monthly branch meetings with the market managers and participate in cross-functional business development meetings.
- Prepare reports for management as required.
- Provide and maintain a professional, business-like atmosphere within branch offices.
- Managerial duties to include: improvement plans, performance reviews, salary/promotion recommendations, and terminations. Coach, develop and inspire staff to maximize their potential.
- Represent Partners Bank in public relations activities and community affairs.
- Aligns his/her activities with the deposit goals of the bank and sets individual goals for personal new business generation on an annual basis.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned/necessary.
