Summary for the Senior Systems Engineer:
An SSA role is critical in maintaining and optimizing the bank’s IT infrastructure and ensuring secure and efficient operation of our banking systems.

Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sr. Systems Administrator or in a similar role in the banking or finance industry.
- Strong comprehension of security frameworks, principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of server management, system architecture, and network protocols.
- Strong understanding of virtualization platforms (i.e., Hyper-V, VMware).
- Knowledge of database administration, preferably with SQL Server
- Experience with cloud technologies and services.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server architecture concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the banking industry.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools for system management.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Manage and maintain the bank's IT systems and servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance, metrics and SLA's.
- Collaborate with IT staff to implement system upgrades and new technologies.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior staff.
- Manage documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Implement and enforce security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
- Perform regular maintenance updates and patches.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to find ways to improve our systems and processes
