MISSION STATEMENT:
Partners Behavioral Healthcare finds and restores individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders.
The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Technician plays a key role in interacting with potential and current referents and clients. This position will provide support to all staff, clinical and non-clinical.
The SUD Tech is responsible for managing the milieu, greeting and welcoming clients, supporting with administrative tasks, facility opening/closing and daily office duties. The SUD Tech will have continual interaction with the client population. This position will be expected to model pro-social, recovery-oriented behaviors, which promote the development of healthy connections and behaviors. The SUD Tech will also be responsible for providing peer recovery support services to clients on an individual basis. These services include education, advocacy, mentoring through self-disclosure of personal recovery experiences, attending recovery and other support groups with clients, accompanying clients to appointments that support recovery, providing assistance accessing resources to obtain housing, employment, education, and advocacy services, and nonclinical recovery support to assist the transition from treatment into the recovery community.

- Provide for the safety of clients and monitor their whereabouts
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Schedule and maintain numerous calendars
- Create and maintain client charts to include uploading documents and notifying appropriate staff as necessary.
- Verify Insurance on various platforms
- Fulfill medical records requests
- Perform office duties, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings and trainings
- Always maintain and exemplify pro-social behaviors
- Provide transportation for clients
- Make appointments to meet with clients and schedule on Procentive.
- Enter and maintain information regarding what services you will be assisting the client in accessing, including time and type of services in Procentive.
- Communicate with counselors on a weekly basis to discuss mutual clients and collaborate on how to best support them.
- Document the ongoing progress made toward accessing the services, the outcome, and the client response.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings to include daily Jump-starts, clinicals and treatment consultations with primary counselors.
- Adhere to the 245G requirements and Partners Behavioral Healthcare policies and ensure that weekly client documentation is completed on time.
- Assist clients in creating a financial plan for housing and ensure this is communicated to the housing management.
- Maintain relationships with community resources to include food shelves, local RCO’s, appropriate non-profit organizations, etc.
- Always maintain and exemplify pro-social behaviors.
- Maintain logged supervision hours.

- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Peer Recovery Specialist-certified by the Minnesota Certification Board (CPRS)
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Possess and maintain valid Driver’s license with no “excluding” violations, per company’s automobile insurance policies.
- Must be able to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study
- Physical demands for the job include sitting for extended periods of time, bending and reaching
- Ability to immediately achieve and maintain all mandatory certification (i.e., CPR certification, Naloxone training)
- CPRS with Forensic Endorsement (CPRS-FE)
- 2 years of related experience
- Computer literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience using Procentive software
- Attend any mandatory staff meetings and training courses.
- Remain up to date with all current Partners Behavioral Healthcare policies and procedures.
