What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coffee Roaster Small Batch - Williamsburg position at Partners Coffee?
We are looking for a Production Roaster with one to two years experience to join our team to roast our coffee and do general roasting tasks such as receiving greens, cleaning, and from time to time helping out with bagging and fulfillment.
You will be roasting on a Probat 25 Kg and experience on this machine or a like machine is required. Our ideal candidate is well focused, highly organized, and has excellent attention to detail. Familiarity with Cropster is beneficial; cupping experience is a must. We’re looking for somebody who has worked in a like roastery, is comfortable using spreadsheets, and has the ability to work on your feet for 10 hours, lift up to 60lb (154lb assisted), climb ladders, and hear audible cues.
You will be required to work Federal Holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) as the warehouse is open. Our roasting shifts are 6-8 hours Monday-Sunday, including no less than one day on the weekend. On occasion very early opens and very late closes will be necessary to meet the requirements of daily production.
