Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the processing of incoming payments, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
- Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement collection strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all transactions.
- Maintain accurate records in the general ledger, ensuring double entry bookkeeping principles are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve cash flow.
- Utilize accounting software such as Ceridian and Workday for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable performance for management review.
Skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in public accounting preferred.
- Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with debits and credits, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting practices.
- Proficient in using ProCore and Quickbooms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
