Position Overview :
Under the guidance, support, and oversight of the Clinical Director, The Clinical Liaison plays a vital role in supporting adults with mental health (MH) and / or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life. This position requires a strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and the ability to implement effective behavior support plans. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and patient individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Read, understand, and demonstrate understanding of individual behavior plans and data collection strategies.
- Conduct on site field observations of staff interactions with clients, implementation of behavior plans, and compliance and accuracy with data collection systems.
- Show fluency in using and developing behavior plan integrity checklists.
- Delivering effective praise and corrective statements to staff with behavior specific feedback, using a high level of praise to corrective statements (4 : 1 respectively) to build positive rapport with staff.
- Identify and communicate areas of need and strengths in behavior plan delivery and data collection.
- Demonstrate effective aba skills and administration of behavioral interventions in the field as needed to train staff.
- RBT Certification required
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education, Human Services) preferred.
- Evening and weekend hours are necessary.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in special needs, education, or related field.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Will need to travel to residential and social enterprise sites.
- May require evening or weekend work to meet the needs of residents and staff.
- Will have direct contact with individuals that have co-occurring disorders to include Intellectual Differences, Neurodivergence, Special Mental Health Needs and Problem Sexual Behaviors (PSB) and / or Sexual Offences (SO). A willingness to work with and support individuals with MH / IDD / PSB / SO is essential for this position.
