Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Outreach Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging with the community and promoting our organization's mission through various outreach activities.

The Outreach and Events Manager will be responsible for managing, overseeing, coordinating and promoting the programs, events, social media promotion and activities that foster a strong and active community, with some design, marketing, and website management. This role will serve as a public relations professional with the goal to attract attention from potential supporters and host events that raise awareness of the organization's goals.

The Outreach and Events Manager will plan and execute events for internal and external purposes for all locations. They are responsible for creating the event messaging, and ensuring that events are successful, on schedule, and within budget, while also work with sponsors, collaborators, and generate leads.

JOB DUTIES:

Outreach:

  • Manage the agency’s events, website, social media promotion, marketing, and customer/community outreach for Partners for Community Development, Inc’s programs to drive agency awareness.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts and activities with other community-based organizations and businesses as appropriate and represent the agency at conferences, coordination sessions, and other community events for all programs within Partners’ service areas.
  • Take lead role in the outreach of Partners’ programming with the goal of reaching new customers, developing collaborations with local businesses, nonprofit agencies, and contractors.
  • Build and strengthen community partnerships, collaborations and engagement by maintaining cooperative working relationships with partner agencies, state and local government officials, and the general public.
  • Develop and implement agency social media strategy with the goal of bolstering Partners’ presence across a variety of social media platforms. Set weekly social media schedule ensuring that relevant content is broadcasted on a daily basis.
  • Monitor our website, social media accounts, and other relevant digital channels to identify brand sentiment.
  • Respond to all comments and requests on time and ensure your comments give value and build relationships with our audience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to stay up-to-date on Partners’ outreach efforts.
  • Outreach to agencies, organizations, partners and stakeholders to conduct presentations, both in-person and utilizing online platforms.

Events:

  • Develop concepts and designs for events, create event messaging, coordinate promotional materials, invitations, and manage logistics. Prepare and oversee an operating budget for community events/activities.
  • Determine staffing needs for special events. Work with the CEO to secure staff and volunteer support. Work with and give guidance to staff and volunteers involved in event planning and execution.
  • Manage multiple tasks and stakeholders while ensuring events are on time and within budget.
  • Attend relevant networking events to grow our relevance within our service areas and in the industry.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend training as requested.
  • Maintain a presence at all Partners’ locations. Travel is required to agency offices, outreach events, meetings, etc. in Partners’ service area and within the state.
  • Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for Partners for Community Development, Inc. at external meetings and events.
  • Foster professional working relationships with peers and supervisors to ensure harmonious work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or other related business degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in managing a local outreach program and the ability to develop new innovative approaches to marketing.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, public relations, social media, as well as communication and marketing techniques.
  • Experience working with non-profits preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse and low-income customers that need weatherization services.
  • Strong public relations, communication and verbal skills necessary .
  • Event management expertise: A proven track record in successful event management.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational skills: Detail-oriented and able to work within deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, Canva skills required.
  • Respect for confidentiality of information received.
  • Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as required.

Pay: $50,191.00 - $61,235.00 per year
