Audio Engineer Interns will receive training on professional audio equipment and learn stagehand and event management tasks.
DescriptionPosition: Audio Engineer Intern
Training: Interns will undergo training on professional audio equipment and will be taught stagehand and event management tasks.
Compensation: $12 per hour
Requirements: Applicants must attend 10 hours of pre-season training and work a minimum of 12 live events (approximately 4 events per month for 3 months).
Age Requirement: Minimum age of 16, no maximum age limit.
Location: In-person training only.
Supervision: Interns will report to the Production Manager and Production Assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting staff with the production of live shows
- Setting up the mobile stage, sound, and lighting equipment
- Assisting with soundcheck, mixing, and production during live events
- Learning basic and advanced techniques in live sound and lighting production
Skills:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
- Ability to handle stress and resolve technical issues quickly during live events
- Effective communication with performers, event managers, and production staff
- Willingness to work hard in a team environment and continuously learn new skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
Transportation: Interns must provide their own transportation to live event locations. Bus passes can be provided upon request. Training will be held indoors at a downtown Omaha location.
