Responsibilities
Demonstrates and reflects a commitment to the mission and values of Milestone by serving others with respect, dignity, and compassion.- Utilizes Sanctuary Model’s shared values, the Seven Commitments and tools to conduct daily tasks.
- Works in conjunction with the Director of IDD Residential Services to provide administrative and budgetary oversight and to coordinate the entry of new clients to the program.
- Works with the Director of IDD Residential Services and the Residential team to ensure that all licensing regulations and requirements of PA Code 6400 are met
- Keeps the Director well informed as to the day-to-day operations of all sites.
- Works with Human Resources and the Residential team to hire and orient new Supervisors and Residential Direct Support Professionals (Resid. DSPs)
- Provides leadership, direction, support and supervision to the Site Supervisors and Residential Direct Support Professionals through:
- Monthly supervision meetings with Site Supervisors.
- Participating in and assistance with facilitating Monthly Team meetings at each site.
- Role Modeling and Training with Supervisors and Residential DSPs on site.
- Training, evaluating and scheduling in-services with Supervisors on When I work scheduling Software and performing other related management responsibilities as required.
- Assists Supervisors to guide and coordinate program services and supports including facilitating community inclusion and integration and the incorporation of Sanctuary principles and tools into day-to-day activity.
- Handles crises and emergency situations and reports incidents as required. Acts as Point Person by entering and managing incidents in the HCSIS/EIM system for the Residential Program.
- Assure that all homes are safe, sanitary, well maintained and aesthetically appealing.
- Understands, follows and implements agency policies and procedures. Participates in IDD Team Meetings and Agency Committees as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITES
.Working knowledge of the Sanctuary Model, Seven Commitments and Tools
- Working knowledge of the IDD system and ODP and County/Local regulations and requirements
- Teaching Coaching and Motivational skills. Knowledge of habilitation and learning principles
- Organizational and Time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including computer proficiency
- Effective supervisory skills and the ability to manage the performance of others
