ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist individuals with disabilities in learning work-related tasks and maintaining rewarding, competitive, integrated employment in the community through Supported Employment and Small Group Employment in a 1-to-1, 1-to-2 or 1-to-3 staff to client ratio.
- Provides aspects of Supported Employment (SE) and Small Group Employment (SGE) services including but not limited to:
- Job and task analysis
- Systematic training and fading instruction to achieve performance expectations of the employer
- Training to assist individuals in using transportation to and from work
- Follow-along support (including learning newly assigned job tasks)
- Communication with supervisor and team re: progress towards goals and outcomes
- Assist Employment Specialists in completion of evaluative and progress reports to Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)
- Provides transportation (in Agency vehicle) for SGE participants to sites if needed.
- Provides training, supervision, and support to SGE and SE participants to promote skill growth and independence when needed.
- Monitors each participant’s/client’s progress towards specific outcomes, identifies lack of progress and develops corrective action plans to help the participant meet their goals
- Maintains productivity levels as required by the program and supervisor
- Participates in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISP) for all assigned participants
- Accurately completes Daily Service Notes at the end of each service day
- Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings to enhance skills, share information, and set and/or reviews program goals and procedures
- Completes required job-related in-service hours according to Department requirements.
- Represents Department and/or Milestone when needed at various presentations, seminars, etc.
- Participates in Milestone meetings and functions when requested
- Other duties as assigned
- WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Majority of work is completed in a warehouse setting
- Daily direct client contact
- Daily travel to employment sites throughout Allegheny County and beyond
- Appropriate dress and activity level based on assignment.
- Ability to manage changing work shifts/times, as needed to support clients’/participants’ needs (daylight, evening, and overnight)
- Ability to work varied days, as needed to support client/participants’ needs (weekends, holidays)

Qualifications:
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:
- High School diploma and experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or autism.
- Valid PA driver’s license
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Reports results
- Act 33 and Act 34 clearance and FBI background check
- APSE or ACRE Certification achieved within 60 days of hire
