Primary Purpose of Position : As the Data Analytics Manager you will lead the Quality Analytics Team delivering advanced analytic insights, data validation as well as custom and self-service BI reporting to the enterprise.
We are seeking a talented leader who will develop a high-performing team that executes predictive analytics, data modeling, visualization, validation and enterprise-wide ad-hoc reporting, using complex, high-volume, structured and unstructured datasets.
The Data Analytics Manager works closely with business and clinical departments to deliver tools, analysis, and reports as well as the Information Technology Department as a liaison for the business units data analytics and validation needs.
Role and Responsibilities :
Develop and direct an effective team that leads advanced analytics, enterprise-level dashboards, and performance monitoring, trending, forecasting, and ad-hoc time sensitive data / information needs across the organization.Establishes a strong understanding of organizational needs as it relates to analytics, visualization, and validation and promotes a data driven culture.Provide thought leadership and operational support for emerging and existing capabilities, develop best practices, and drive the process of creative thinking and solutions while directing the change and adoption of new processes and technologies as it relates to analyticsEstablish the development, adoption, and adherence of tools and best practices across the organization, including the development and sharing of tool utilization, quality, and continuous improvement plans.Lead and grow teams that will provide customer-centered improvements and innovation while guiding the professional and technical development of direct reports. Continuously focused on quality improvement.Collaborate with peers to set peer review, quality assurance, high-quality service, consultation, and products to customers by understanding their business needs and developing a seamless transition of work processes across the organization as it relates to data analytics and validationMaintain knowledge of competing projects and programs across departments and outside areas of accountability to minimize duplicative efforts and manage projects effectively with available resources and timelines.Continually seek and consider innovative solutions to business problems and customer needs and apply as relevant and approved, in support of the organization's mission, culture, and philosophy.Responsible for data analytics and validation, conveying findings to a variety of audiences in a user friendly and easily understood manner that drives organizational decisions, insights and interventions based on meaningful information.Effectively uses SQL, Oracle and other tools necessary to carry out analytic and validation responsibilities.Makes recommendations to the Change Advisory Review Team (CART), IT, or other appropriate teams / committees in accordance with Partners policies and procedures for any system change recommendations or new information technology solutions.Establishes and manages various workplans, roadmaps and initiatives around data analytics, validation and visualization across the organization.Ability to apply statistical and mathematical principles for data modeling to enhance analytic insights.Build forecasting models, conducts ongoing analysis to assess forecasting accuracy, evaluate forecasting methodologies, and recommend changes to maximize forecasting accuracy.Manages designated data analytics projects and / or dashboards as assigned. For example, but not limited to the Operational Executive Dashboard to the Board of Directors.Collaborates with IT and others in meeting urgent and ad-hoc data needs to assure organization needs are met timely.Serves on and / or leads various committees / workgroups / projects as designated.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, finance, analytics or related field3 years of people management / leadership experience.3 years of experience working with health plan data analytic & / or data informaticsAnalytics Certification required within 18 months of employment (or otherwise agreed upon at time of hire)Education / Experience Preferred :
Experience participating with senior management and cross-functional teams to establish strategic plans and objectives.Solid technical knowledge of business systems and reporting toolsStrong understanding and experience with advanced mathematicsCertification in Healthcare or Data Analytics. If none, willingness to attain an approved certification within 18 months of employment.
