We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Accounting Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial and human resources functions.
Job Summary : The Partners In Care Representative is responsible for managing employee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and human resources tasks. This role requires a high level of integrity, professionalism, and compassion. The ideal candidate will exhibit consistent care in all interactions and tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify employee hours and prepare weekly payroll.
Manage employee benefits and Workers’ Compensation claims.
Verify and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Receive payments, reconcile discrepancies, prepare deposits, and generate reports.
Facilitate special projects as needed.
Greet visitors and answer phone calls.
Position-Specific Accountability Standards :
Maintain employee files and timesheets; provide information regarding paychecks, work-related injuries, employment benefits, and documentation.
Manage timelines for employee eligibility of benefits and documentation for employee severance; audit employee files quarterly.
Oversee Workers’ Compensation insurance documentation for work-related injuries.
Verify client caregiver hours, resolve discrepancies with staffing coordinators, and prepare invoices and client surveys for mailing.
Manage invoice payments per client instructions; coordinate long-term insurance invoices and payments with third-party payors.
Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable documents; manage outstanding invoices, contract referral sources, and vendor payments.
Communicate with clients and vendors regarding invoices; document all activities and communications.
Review financial statements and generate financial reports.
Reconcile financial reports, credit card payments, bank statements, and accounts payable.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or 3 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or human resources preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and HR practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
