Description : For more than 50 years, Partners in Child Development, a non-profit, human service organization, has been dedicated to nurturing the growth and potential of? every ?child. We are passionate and committed to helping children and their families with programs focused on a child’s development and well-being through Early Intervention services, early childhood education and special education including therapeutic programs for children with complex medical needs.? Our three core programs include The Anderson and Woodbridge schools located in Andover and our Early Intervention program in Lawrence and Greater Lowell areas. We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team!
The Job
As a Human Resources Generalist , you'll be at the heart of our organization, wearing many hats and working closely with all employees. You’ll play a key role in making sure the HR department runs smoothly every day, managing everything from employee benefits to leaves of absence, onboarding to training, compliance to recruitment support. Your efforts will help create a positive and supportive work environment for everyone at Partners in Child Development!
You’ll also be a thought partner to our Director of HR. We’re looking for someone who loves to dig into the details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. Someone who’s curious, asks insightful questions, and takes the time to understand how we work across the organization, from the broad vision down to the nitty-gritty day-to-day. We want someone who wants to improve processes, impact culture, and engage employees. Strong communication skills are key – being responsive, building trust, facilitating open conversations, and creating an environment where everyone feels heard is essential. And you should also like to laugh! This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday. Travel is primarily local during the business day as needed between our Andover, Lawrence, and Chelmsford sites.

Job Requirements
- Associate degree in human resources or related field of study, and / or a combination of college education and related work experience in a human resources function. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience, including exposure to recruitment, onboarding, or HR administration.
- Understanding of state and federal employment and labor law regulations.
- Collaborative work style; must be able to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization; an approachable and open manner.
- Possess a strong understanding of Human Resource best practices and have the ability to maintain a compassionate and supportive environment for staff and volunteers.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong listening skills to understand questions, issues and concerns from management, employees, job applicants, and external inquiries.
- Works well under pressure and consistent ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Strong organizational, time management skills and timely follow up abilities.
- Solid experience using MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook email, databases and HRIS systems.
- Strong decision-making, problem solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality, and ethics.
- Frequently sitting while working and / or attending meetings / training for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend and lift 15 lbs. or less to perform office tasks and move around the building as necessary.
